Silver Beats at 9:30 Club

I first heard about the Silver Beats on Elliott in the Morning on DC101. So, I decided that a trip to the 9:30 Club was necessary to see what this Japanese Beatles cover band was all about, because I just couldn’t picture it.

On stage, between songs, they introduced themselves as Japanese versions their respective Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They each wore tight suits and had long hair, and as for the vocals, I think they were dead on with the Beatles. The show was enjoyable, a novelty more than anything really, and it got better as the crowd got more into it by singing along. Twist and Shout was probably the highlight when everyone started dancing around. If you ever have the chance to see this band, don’t miss it!
