Knockoffs and Old Ladies

Ahhhhh behold the street cart full of crap for sale : knockoff Gucci handbags, cheap plastic sunglasses, and any three white DC tee-shirts for only $10 bucks. These old ladies cannot escape the allure of a good bargain!
In my opinion, the only things worth buying from the street vendor stands are hot dogs and Gatorades.

I have to add croissants to your list. There used to be a vendor with a cart set up at the Dupont Metro exit who sold such good croissants. I stopped every morning on my way to work.
Nice photo. I like the angle and the graininess.

Croissants, yep maybe.
Interesting topic, street vendors. The rest of the retail sector is busy competing with quality, refund if you’re not happy etc. So how does this kind of business survive at all? Apparently it does, same story here.
