It is that time of the year again – the 2009 wrap-up post!  Here is a taste of what 2009 brought for Juxtaexposed in roughly chronological order.
   
- got way over inaugurated, including the concert and the Bush shoe bashing
   
- investigated the Maine Ave fish market on the Southwest waterfront
   
- found a white horse in Old Town
   
- moved to our spanking new 100+ year old new apartment in Dupont Circle
   
- looked into DC voting rights
   
- organized our bookshelf by color (god we are dorks)
   
-celebrated square root day! (there I go with the dork thing again)
   
- checked out the Albus Cavus Murals to Zora painting session at Eatonville
   
- found a crazy space car tricycle thingy…
   
- did the National Marathon for the second time
   
-  discovered twitter
   
designed some t-shirts but didn’t get too far in the actual creation process…
   
- took a looksee at the historic Uline Arena (BEATLES WOOOOOOO!!!)
   
- competed in some weird races through the middle of the night (Matt) and through a mud pit (Lori)
   
- played in an organized bocce league
   
- went to San Fran!
   
- put together a sweeeeeet wall at Artomatic
   
-  made a short video about the (in)famous Cairo apartment building (Lori)
   
- witnessed a protest about gay marriage rights
   
- snapped some pics at the DC leg of the 4th Annual World Naked Bike Ride
   
- raced in the Dextro sprint triathlon (Matt) and made a little video about it (Lori)
   
- participated in Val and Ty’s wedding!
   
- made another meat flag and caught some fireworks for the 4th o’ July
   
- took the long trip out to A-frickin-laska
   
- scored booth tickets to the Sugarland and Keith Urban at the Verizon center
   
- completed the Iron Girl sprint tri in glorious hoco (Lori, duh)
   
GOT ENGAGED! 
   
BOWSER. 
   
- one more tri (Nations)
   
- played on the dunes in Nagshead
   
- paid a quick visit to Beijing 
   
- started volunteering at the National Building Museum
   
- climbed to the top of a tower crane 
   
- prettied it up for our engagement photos
   
- hosted our annual pumpkin carving contest
   
- experimented with time-series-photography
   
- looked dandy during the tweed ride  (and made the Washington Post Express again!)
   
-  attended the Bicycle Film Festival and later learned about thefuture of getting around
   
-  got totally snowpocalypsed
   
- rewrote the 12 days of xmas
   
…also started grad school (Matt, Lori was already in school) and got a cat.
   
Quite a busy and exciting year.  Hello 2010!
