Hurricane Sandy October 30th, 2012

   

We got really lucky yesterday and were spared much of the wrath it seems that Sandy has caused elsewhere along the East Coast and earlier in the Caribbean. We spent the day cooped up inside, doing some work, cuddling with Bowser, watching the leaves fly by the windows, and keeping our fingers crossed that the electricity wouldn’t go off.

   

I’m seeing lots of pictures of the flooding and fallen trees, power outtages and blizzards, and feeling grateful that we experienced nothing more than heavy winds and sustained rains. No roof leaks, no major downed branches. For those that weren’t so lucky, we’ll be thinking of you in your cleanup efforts and hope that power comes back quickly and the waters recede!
