Monday, please don’t make me get out of bed.

Just waitin’ on you…

A: The puppy park! It is just an overload of cute in the springtime. Not sure whose little guy Matt captured on film here, but he is definitely a sturdy little fellow… Though he appears to be taking a break from the shenanigans… Just the other day we had someone shout at us as they walked by, asking, “Do you need someone to board your little Boston Terrier?” heheheee… why yes..

Our little boy is growing up! Bowser turns 8-months old today, and, depending on which conversion numbers you use, that means he’s about 9-years old in human years. aww! Maybe we should throw him a birthday party themed with superheros and a trip to the rollerskating rink… Or whatever else it is that 9-year old boys enjoy, I clearly have no idea.

Well this is just an awesome semi-secret entry way to a home in Logan Circle. I’ve deduced that the owner must not be very tall. Either that, or they don’t mind their head being swept by bushes every time they get home.

In totally-unrelated-to-DC (and proud-parent-moment-of-the week ’cause I got nothin’ else) news, our littlest family member just keeps getting bigger! In fact, he might overtake our cat one day very soon. This Friday, the poor little guy is scheduled for his neutering and I am feeling kinda bad for him ever since I made the appointment, so I thought I’d devote a post to him today. Hopefully he is currently having a nice, mid-morning nap in his crate.

The dog park that we take Bowser to (17th, S, and New Hampshire) has been reopened for awhile now after it was renovated at the beginning of the year. For the longest time, I thought that this sign at the corner of the park was accompanying these renovations. And I thought it was a little ridiculous because it’s a huge announcement just for a dog park. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to know what the ‘Recovery and Reinvestment Act’ is paying for, but maybe put more money into the thing itself instead of enormous temporary signage. However, I walked closer to it the other day, and it’s actually there to indicate the re-paving of 17th Street. The project will resurface the street from New Hampshire Ave to Massachusetts Ave and improve pedestrian spaces to the tune of $8.20M.
In talking Halloween costume ideas the other night, the top hat leftover from Matt’s costume last year came out of hiding. So then we put Bowser in it. Ain’t he cute?
Don’t forget! The 2nd annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is coming up!
Here it is, your daily dose of cuteness… Bowser is trying to be tough, but he can’t quite reach Moesha on her pedestal. Poor puppy.
So, we felt we didn’t have quite enough life-changing decisions going on lately (grad school, engagement) and decided to add another this weekend. New puppy! Meet Bowser. He’s an 8-week old Boston Terrier who enjoys long naps and trying to jump over things 5-times taller than he is. So far, he’s been a pretty big handful since he is so tiny. But we got him to wear a little cat-collar (the only thing that was small enough) with a bell on it — makes him a little easier to keep track of. Today is his first day spending time alone, so hopefully the kitchen is in one piece when we get home from work today!
