I took a quick jog down to the White House last night, not to shoot this blurry, ghostly, holga shot (it’s an old one), but just to get in a quick jog and see what was going on at the Obama house. Not much to see once the sun goes down, but it is still elegant in the evening nonetheless. And the weather has slowly been getting milder, so the streets were pretty packed with people, anxious to be outside without needing 4 layers of bundle to keep warm. spring fever!

All I can think about is Maryland beating duke last night to tie for first in the ACC, and so therefore I only have enough brain capacity to just pull an old photo from the holga archive and post it with little or no relation to college basketball. blue devils suck! GO TERPS!

But for those of you not yet in the March spirit, it’s a shot from creeping around those ridiculously tall towers in Tenleytown, which I can only assume are for radio. And upon a quick google search found that I am right about that. What do they have to do with the Cold War? You can read about it and see some other photos here.

   
This image is taken with a Holga at the Dupont Circle North metro station.  I love how the long exposure was able to pull a fire out of the evening sky.
   
   

   
We watched the fireworks from Meridian Hill park this year.  The gentleman that climbed the Joan of Arc sculpture had the best view in the house.  His focused gaze up towards the theatrics is the sky is eerily similar to the look on Joan of Arc’s face as she charges into battle.
   
   

 
   
My final submission was snapped during my morning commute.  It is taken with a Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim, a junk camera with a wide angle plastic lens.  Even in the blustery weather that we have had recently, my morning rides always put me in a good mood.  I think this photo captures the pure enjoyment of a leisurely ride.
